
The Daikin Europe N.V. EMEA Development Centre (EDC) develops high quality Air-conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration and Applied Systems products and solutions.
The head-quarters of EDC are located in Ostend and Ghent (Belgium), with satellites in Güglingen (Germany), Plzen (Czech Republic) and Istanbul (Turkey).
As Daikin strives to maintain the highest Quality level, a specific section within the EMEA Development Centre (EDC) focuses on “Design Supporting” activities.
A first challenge is the standardisation and unification of processes and tools, further supporting the co-developments amongst the different design centres. A second specific challenge is the implementation and maintenance of a PLM (Product LifeCycle Management) system to support this approach.
Job Content
Within this team:
- You’ll manage the PLM project and ensure the relevant business and technical requirements are fully represented.
- You manage the project scope and deadlines maintaining and developing the project schedule whilst managing dependencies on the wider EDC organization.
- You’ll be the key person to implement and roll out current and new tools and processes within the EMEA Development Centre (EDC)
- You’ll be coordinating and resolving all IT issues in the development department regarding the design, drawing & implemented tools and processes.
- You are both responsible for resolving IT issues with soft- and hardware.
- You are the key contact person for the design engineers regarding all system information changes and updates.
- Therefore you will be in constant contact with the system providers, keeping yourself trained and informed.
Profile
- You have a degree in (Business/IT) Engineering, Commercial Sciences or equivalent by experience;
- You have a good knowledge of IT and are interested in ICT Solutions (drawing & design systems, hard- &software);
- You can analyse requirements an processes and document them in a clear and understandable way;
- You are a team player and a problem solver with lots of critical thinking skills;
- You are able to work and manage independently multiple projects in a fast paced environment;
- You have good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- You have strong communication skills with internal & external partners;
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken).
